The Covid-19 drive-through facility in Lusail will offer vaccine booster doses as well as testing from Wednesday, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced.
'From January 26, six lanes of the 10-lane drive-through centre will be dedicated to booster vaccinations while the remaining four lanes will continue to offer Covid-19 testing for eligible groups,' the ministry said in a notice on social media Tuesday.
Booster doses will be provided by invitation only through an appointment system from 8am to 10pm.
To receive a booster dose at the Lusail centre, individuals require an invitation appointment SMS identifying their time slot and will be seen on a first-come-first-seen basis, at any time during those operational hours.
A total of 675,049 Covid-19 booster vaccine doses have been administered in the country till date.
The drive-through facility near Lusail Sports Complex was opened earlier this month to significantly expand Covid-19 testing capacity and enhance accessibility for swabbing.
