Shmyhal stated, encouraging Nehammer to pay a formal trip to Ukraine, “Our intergovernmental cooperation is a shining example of the strength and effectiveness of the Ukrainian-Austrian partnership. In this regard, I hope that Austria will soon become the next country to support Ukraine's European perspective on a bilateral basis and that a [respective] declaration will be signed at a meeting with the Ukrainian president.”

The PM emphasized that Ukraine and Austria celebrate their 30th anniversary on January 24.
He mentioned that in the upcoming days, Ukraine aims to turn into the chief supplier of green hydrogen to Europe.
