Taliban starts discussions with Western officials in Oslo


(MENAFN) Members of the Taliban are gathering with Western officials in Norway for the first discussions in Europe from the time when the group took over Afghanistan.

The three days’ meetings, are going to address human rights and the humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan.

Some demonstrations happened in Europe with detractors saying the meetings should not be planned.

On Sunday, members of the Taliban discussed with human rights campaigners, while further information for these talks are not announced yet.

The representatives presented "goodwill", on the words of the feminist protestor, Jamila Afghani, as it updated AFP news agency.
