LONDON — Automotive manufacturer Ford has appointed Dan Jones as director of communications and public affairs for the UK and Ireland. Jones was previously senior manager of passenger vehicle communications for Ford of Europe. In his new role, he will handle Ford's earned media and corporate communications, reporting to Elvira Schachermeier, VP communications and public affairs for Ford Europe.

LONDON — Strategic advisory firm Rise, founded in 2019 by former Burson-Marsteller EMEA chief operating officer Katarina Wallin Bureau, and Geoff McDonald, former global VP of HR at Unilever, has appointed its first UK-based partner in London. Sustainability pioneer Charles Perry (pictured), who was UN Climate Champion for the aviation sector at COP26 last year, will help to grow the business, advising clients on corporate purpose, sustainability and climate action.

LONDON — Cannes Lions has announced its jury presidents for 2022, naming Edelman's global chief creative officer Judy John as president of the PR Lions awards jury. Mastercard's chief marketing and communications officer Raja Rajamannar is the president of the Creative Effectiveness Lions jury, while Patricia Corsi, global chief marketing and digital officer at Bayer Consumer Health, will lead the Health & Wellness Lions jury. The Festival of Creativity returns to France as a hybrid event this summer from 20-24 June.

LONDON — Cirkle has appointed two journalists to support the growth of its content and editorial department and respond to growing demand for B2B editorial services. Steven Lambert, Cirkle's new editorial manager, has edited and written for B2B titles including Retail Newsagent and Asian Trader. He was previously editorial and digital content manager at Templemere PR and was also editor at Beattie Group. Nicholas Robinson, former managing editor of pub trade title The Morning Advertiser, joins Cirkle as content strategist, focusing on the agency's on-trade and off-trade clients including Heineken UK.

LONDON — The PRCA has appointed Paul Cohen, partner and chief executive of Milk & Honey PR North America, to its Global Advisory Board. Cohen has represented multinational corporations, start-ups, industry associations, sovereign governments and non-profit organisations.
