Inflation in Iran drops by 1 percent


(MENAFN) The Statistical Center of Iran (SCI) has set the median inflation rate in the one-year-long time frame that finished on January 20, which indicates the finish of the tenth Iranian calendar month Dey, at 42.4 percent, dropping by one percent from the statistical number of the one-year period ended to the ninth month.

SCI has set the nation’s point-to-point inflation rate at 35.9 percent in the tenth month of the current year, which indicates that household’s expenses reached a median of 35.9 percent more for buying the same sets of goods and facilities in that month, in comparison to the corresponding month of the past year.

The point-to-point inflation rate has increased by 0.7 percent compared to the number for the month earlier.
