Leaders of Switzerland, Ukraine optimistic about Ukraine’s fifth reform conference


(MENAFN) The Swiss Confederation’s president Ignazio Cassis is hopeful about maintaining solid practical outcomes for the nation’s steadiness and success at the fifth Ukraine Reform Conference in Lugano.

He stated during the virtual meeting "Reforms for Investment in Ukraine", with the reporting of, “Together with our Ukrainian partners involved in the reform process, we have decided to limit the number of priorities and hope to achieve tangible practical results.”

Cassis further added that, with the aid of Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, they confirmed to make the Conference’s concentration about two essential fields which are constancy and wealth.

The Swiss Confederation’s President noted, “The first area – stability – covers such topics as combating corruption, strengthening local self-government, and promoting reforms for reintegration. The second area – prosperity – includes economic reforms,” adding “I am glad that we, as long-time partners of Ukraine, have the opportunity to support the country on its path of reform.”
