Jordan abounds with historical sites needed to be on world heritage list - says Najjar

Amman, Jan. 21 (Petra)-- Culture Minister Haifa Najjar, on Friday, said that Jordan is full of historical sites that the government is working to present them to the World Heritage List, according to a statement issued by the ministry
Discussing a wide range of issues, in this regard in Qatar, with Director-General of the Islamic World Educational and Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Salem bin Mohammad al-Malik, Najjar added that Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts is seen as a springboard for intercultural dialogue, calling for coordination to enrich the festival with the expertise the organization has.
Najjar, the statement said, noted to the ISESCO's role in the era of the globalization and the ICT, which dictates the need to revisit the issue of education reform and the concept of culture.
Al-Malik clarified the organization's role in achieving Sustainable Development that stems from Islam's religious and cultural values.
