Russia considers talks with Ukraine to solve issues

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Kremlin representative Dmitry Peskov said, Russia will only entice works if Turkish associates can inspire Kyiv to apply the Minsk Protocol.

While explaining the suggestion by Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to prepare a conference combining Russia’s and Ukraine’s presidents, Peskov reported Russia does not oppose any initiation to resolve the case in Ukraine.

The representative stated to journalists at a media briefing in Russia, “We welcome the efforts of any countries that can help resolve the situation in Ukraine. The main disagreements between Russia and Ukraine are connected precisely with the stalling of the implementation of the Minsk agreements by Kyiv.”

He added, “If our Turkish partners can influence Ukrainians and encourage them to fulfill their earlier agreements and commitments, this will be welcome.”
