European Investment Bank inks loan with Poland

(MENAFN) The European Investment Bank (EIB) has inked a green loan for six EDP Renewables (EDPR) strategic purpose vehicles to fund the building process and maintenance of six medium-sized ashore wind farms in Poland with a cumulative theoretical limit of 150 megawatts (MW), as per the bank’s announcement on Tuesday.

The bank further stated that, "the six onshore wind farms financed by EIB are geographically located mainly throughout the north (Kozlowo, Krasin, Lichnowy, Chojnice and Piatkowo wind farms) and the south (Bogoria wind farm) of the country."

Separate 15 years contracts for differences, that are two-sided, were granted to ashore wind farms in competitive bidding conducted in 2018 and 2019.
