Azerbaijani Customs Committee boosts transfers to state budget in 2021

The Azerbaijani state budget revenues through the State Customs Committee grew in 2021, Trend reports via the committee.

According to the committee, this figure exceeded 4.3 billion manat ($2.5 billion), up by 10.3 percent on annual basis.

Last year, the budget revenues from customs duties increased by 18.6 percent compared to 2020 and equaled 1.2 billion manat ($710 million).

The budget revenues from VAT rose by 6.9 percent up to 2.93 billion manat ($1.72 billion) while from road tax - by 19 percent, exceeding 43.6 million manat ($25.6 million).

The revenues from excise taxes amounted to 163.1 million manat ($95.9 million), up by 13.6 percent on annual basis.

In December 2021, the budget revenues from taxes and duties via the committee stood at nearly 405.5 million manat ($238.5 million), which is 14.9 percent more than in the same month of 2020.
