Kathleen Leslie

Kathleen (Kate) Leslie is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Health Disciplines at Athabasca University. She is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the School of Health Studies at Western University and the Governance and Regulation lead for the Canadian Health Workforce Network. Dr. Leslie is a registered nurse and lawyer who received her PhD in nursing at the University of Toronto under a CIHR Vanier Scholarship. Her research interests include professional regulation, nursing and health policy, health law, scopes of practice, and health workforce. Dr. Leslie is an investigator on various tri-council (SSHRC and CIHR) and international (World Health Organization and NCSBN Center for Regulatory Excellence) research grants.
