North Korea examines 2 strategic guided missiles


(MENAFN) In accordance with state-run media, North Korea stated that it tried two strategic guided missiles, which is its fourth missile test in January.

A defense official in a report, issued by the Korean Central News Agency said the missiles inaugurated from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea's western part "accurately hit an island target in the East Sea of Korea."

It added this was to test arms and check their correctness, safety, and operational efficiency.

In line with the report "A test-fire for evaluating tactical guided missiles was carried out on January 17 according to the plan of the institutions concerned, including the Academy of Defence Science and the Second Economic Commission."
