BP, Oman sign contract to transport energy ventures by 2030

(MENAFN) On Monday, BP inked a deal with Oman in order to carry a “multiple gigawatt world-class” sustainable energy and hydrogen ventures before 2030.

The Strategic Framework Agreement combining UK’s power firm and the sultanate is set to witness the growth of an integrated factory decided to contain wind, solar and green hydrogen creation.

The deal, which was confirmed by Oman's Minister of Energy and Minerals Mohammed Al Rumhy and Stephen Willis, BP's senior vice president in the Middle East could entice “significant investment” in Oman, as BP mentioned. In addition to backing the manufacture of fresh sectors and high-skills opportunities.

Bernary Looney, chief executive of BP, stated: “Today’s agreement represents what BP is able to offer as an integrated energy company,” adding “these projects will build on our gas business, and bring wind, solar and green hydrogen together in a distinctive and integrated way supporting Oman’s low carbon energy goals.”
