Turkish automotive output drops by 2 percent


(MENAFN) According to the Automotive Manufacturers Association (OSD) statement on Monday, during last year, the Turkish total automotive output dropped by 2 percent to hit 1.27 million units on an annual basis.

Based on the association's press release statement, the previous year, car output also plummeted by 8 percent to 782,835 units in comparison to last year.

In 2021, automotive sales tumbled by 3 percent versus the prior year, to 772,722 units, whereas car sales tanked by 8 percent to amount at 561,853 units. Meanwhile, commercial vehicle output surged by 11 percent on an annual basis in 2021.

Total automotive exports soared by 2 percent in 2021 in comparison to the preceding year, whereas car exports registered a drop of 5 percent over the corresponding time span.
