In keeping with the weather forecast, it rained across Qatar Saturday. More rain is forecast until Tuesday, turning thundery at times, according to the Met office.
The day began with fresh to strong southeasterly winds with gusts of up to 30 knots (kt), in some areas. The cloudy atmosphere soon gave way to rain, ranging in intensity from scattered to heavy, especially in the northern areas. Qatar Meteorology Department tweeted videos from various regions, depicting rain.

Wind inshore is expected to be southeasterly - southwesterly, 13 - 23kt, gusting to 28kt with thundery rain and shifting to northwesterly later.
Wind offshore is forecast to be mainly southeasterly - southwesterly 17 - 27kt, gusting 34kt with thundery and shifting to northwesterly by night.

Visibility will be 4-8km/2km or less at places with thundery rain. Sea state inshore will be 2 - 4ft, rising to 5ft at times and offshore, 4 - 8ft, rising to 12ft at times.
On Saturday, the minimum temperature was in the 18C (Abu Samra) - 23C (Wakra) range and the maximum in the 22C (Ruwais) - 28C (Abu Samra) range.
