Jordan - Cold, rainy weather conditions forecast for Friday

Amman, Jan. 14 (Petra)-- The impact of the depression that affected the Kingdom yesterday is forecast to continue and deepen, bringing heavy rainfall in the northern, central regions and parts of the southern area, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.
Snowfall is forecast on mountainous areas, namely, at night hours, with dust-laden western winds in the Badia regions, the JMD noted.
The departmnet warned of flashfloods in low-lying areas, poor visibility due to low-altitude clouds and slippery roads.
A tangible drop in temperatures is foecast, as Highs in the capital Amman to see 8 degrees Celsius and lows stand at 2 degrees.
In the port city of Aqaba highs will hike up to 17 degrees, sliding to 8 degrees at night.
