Turkish standard stock index closes Friday on high note


(MENAFN) The Turkish major stock index closed Friday’s session at 2,072.93 points, increasing by 0.11 percent from the last ending.

Opening the day at 2,071.35 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index jumped 2.28 points from Thursday's end of 2,070.65 points. The lowest index worth throughout the day stood at 2,049.32 points, whereas its highest value amounted at 2,081.07.

The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was about 1.66 trillion Turkish liras (around USD123 billion) by market end, with an everyday exchanging capacity of 32.9 billion liras (USD2.43 billion).

Throughout the final trading day of the week, 60 stocks on the index jumped, 34 dropped, and six remained at the same value in comparison to Thursday's end.
