Google announces Covid-19 requirements for office entrance in US site

(MENAFN) Google is applying a fresh policy for Coronavirus tests in its American location, as the tech giant prepares to face an ongoing rise in case numbers from the Omicron strain in future weeks.

On Thursday, Jan. 13 Google’s health chief Karen DeSalvo reported, any person who wants to contact a Google office or department must have a negative test result.

The report included that individuals must provide their vaccination certificate and have their masks on while working at the office.

DeSalvo stated, “The Omicron variant has become the dominant strain in then U.S. and is highly transmissible,” adding “there has been a significant rise in infection across the country, and hospitals are overwhelmed with COVID patients — reducing their capacity to provide care to others who need it.”
