Iran’s transport minister travels to Syria to discuss expanding trade relations


(MENAFN) According to Iran’s portal of the Transport and Urban Development Ministry, the country’s Transport and Urban Development Minister Rostam Qasemi went on a trip to Syria to talk about the development of economic collaboration and trade relations between both nations.

On Wednesday, upon arriving in Damascus, Qasemi emphasized the two nations’ determination for attaining real economic and trade collaborations.

Iran’s minister, who is on a visit to Syria heading a top-ranking economic and political delegation, was greeted by Syrian Economy and Foreign Trade Minister Mohammad Samer al-Khalil.

Qasemi stated while talking to the press at the airport, “the end of the war in Syria is the beginning of a new era of economic relations between the two countries, especially since Iran and Syria have been together during the years of the war against international terrorism.”
