Pakistani ambassador to Kabul meets Afghan alumni

Pakistan's ambassador to Kabul Mansoor Ahmad Khan on Friday, January 14, 2022, met with Afghan graduates who studied in Pakistan and are now working in different public and private sectors.

Mansoor Ahmad Khan said that Pakistan's Allama Iqbal scholarship scheme for Afghan students is the largest scheme available for Afghanistan anywhere in the world.

Pakistan admits 1,000 male and female students every year who are earning degrees in the fields of Medical, Engineering, IT, Business Studies, Banking, and other professional fields.

The scheme that also covers Masters and PhDs was first launched in 2010.

The Pakistani envoy vowed that his country will continue to do its part in providing education and professional studies to Afghan students.

He also called on the International Community to do their parts in building universities and colleges in Afghanistan for economic development and progress in the country.
