HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Security personnel during an operation on Friday rescued a teenage boy from kidnappers in western Herat province, an official said.
Security Spokesperson Mahmood Rasouli told Pajhwok Afghan News security force carried out an operation on tip off from intelligence sources in the Bakarabad locality of third Police district of Herat city.
A 12-year-old kidnapped boy was rescued, one kidnapper was killed and three others arrested during the operation, he said.
The father of released boy was overjoyed and hailed security forces for ensure the safe release of his son.
