Qatar - Defence Minister opens new Armed Forces Technical Institute facilities

HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah inaugurated the new facilities and buildings of the Armed Forces Technical Institute. The opening ceremony included a briefing by Commander of the Armed Forces Technical Institute Brigadier (Technician/Air) Mohamed Zayed al-Ruwaili about the new headquarters and the most important facilities, equipment, and services provided by the Institute to its affiliates, followed by an inspection tour of the Institute's facilities and a review of the affiliates' level.
The Institute offers foundational and specialised courses in English, computer, information technology, mathematics, science, and engineering principles, in addition to general engineering training and specialised engineering training in electronics, mechanics, information systems, and cybersecurity.
HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Staff Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad bin Aqeel al-Nabit and several senior officers of the Armed Forces attended the opening ceremony. (QNA)
