Jordan's trade balance with Qatar at $247 million in 5 years-PSA

Doha, Jan. 6 (Petra)- The Jordan-Qatar trade balance during the past five years amounted to 4.343 billion Qatari riyals (1.2 billion dollars), according to recent figures issued by Qatar's Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA) on Thursday.
According to PSA's figures, the two countries' trade balance was in favor of Jordan from 2018 to 2021, except for 2017 only.
The data, which were obtained by 'Petra,' show that Jordan achieved a trade surplus with Qatar during the past four years, amounting to 898 million riyals ($247 million).
In 2020, the trade balance recorded a surplus of 276 million Qatari riyals in favor of Jordan, as the value of Jordan's exports amounted to 468 million riyals, compared to imports of 192 million riyals, the PSA's statistics revealed.
As for 2021, the value of Jordan's exports to Qatar amounted to 468 million riyals, while imports were worth 192 million, bringing trade surplus to 276 million riyals in favor of Jordan, the PSA noted.
