DUBAI, 31st December, 2021 (WAM) -- Expo 2020 Dubai visitors danced and clapped along as an interactive performance gave audiences a taste of the biggest music festival in Italy, La Notte della Taranta ('The Night of the Tarantula'), on Al Wasl Plaza's stage on New Year's Eve.
Taking place in Salento – a cultural, historical and geographic area within Puglia – La Notte della Taranta is dedicated to the rediscovery and enhancement of Salento's traditional la pizzica music, and its fusion with other musical genres, ranging from world and orchestral music to rock and jazz.
The New Year's Eve performance at Expo 2020 had special significance, as the festival will celebrate 25 years of history in 2022.
