Hamas censures electrical short circuit for blast in Lebanon camp

(MENAFN) Palestinian group Hamas censured an electrical short circuit for the blast which took place in a refugee camp in south Lebanon.

A blast happened in a repository comprising oxygen supplies for coronavirus patients at the Burj Shemali camp in Tyre area, and many people were wounded.

Hamas went on to state "After examining the circumstances of the accident, and listening to eyewitnesses, we found out that it was caused by an electrical fault.”

Hamas as well rejected news that many people died in the explosion, and called them "fabricated”.

The Burj Shamali camp is one of the 12 Palestinian immigrant camps in Lebanon and home to 20,000 immigrants.
