The chief also thanked the Taliban for supporting all sports administrations that are still active in Afghanistan and that the Taliban allowed IOC's humanitarian aids to reach Afghan athletes.

International Olympic Committee has so far evacuated up to 300 Afghan athletes, coaches, and Afghanistan's Olympic staff.

Bach said that their process of taking out Afghan athletes will continue but added that it has now become difficult without evacuation operations.

He acknowledged that they are in contact with a number of countries to provide them with humanitarian visas for Afghan athletes.

The humanitarian aids with Afghan athletes come as a sport is a sector that affected the most after the Taliban's takeover.

Most Afghan athletes have ended their career as there is no more sponsors and income through sport.
