Bangladesh renovates its military forces without depending on other countries


(MENAFN) According to officials and geopolitical analysts, Bangladesh has been working on renovating its military forces by sustaining a balanced method, conquering its dependence on any single other nation or the control of great powers.

Based on A L M Fazlur Rahman, a defense analyst and former director general of the Bangladesh Border Guard statement to an agency, "for a long time, Bangladesh has been heavily reliant on China for military weaponry since its independence in 1971. However, the situation has changed, and Bangladesh is now purchasing military equipment from several countries."

Official sources also stated, that the nation initiated a large-scale project in 2009, called Forces Goal 2030, with the aim of developing its armed forces by the year 2030.

In 2017, the jammed delta country of almost 170 million citizens restored the initiative, emphasizing on renovating and reinforcing its army, navy, as well as air forces with high-level technology.
