China donates Afghanistan 800,000 doses of COVID vaccines

China has given Afghanistan 800,000 fresh doses of COVID-19 vaccines that are part of the 3 million doses of anti-pandemic vaccines pledged by the country.

Acting minister of Afghanistan's Public Health Doctor Ebad Qalandar who received the aids in Kabul International Airport along with Chinese ambassador to Kabul Wang yu expressed gratitude for the aids.

The country has also pledged to be handing over Afghan officials another consignment of vaccines that will include 200,000 doses of vaccines.

The kabul-based Chinese envoy said that their humanitarian aids are not limited to COVID-19 vaccines but added that they are also willing to provide Afghanistan's people with health equipment, food ingredients, and winter clothes.

Statistics of the Afghan ministry of public health say that they have vaccinated 7 million people in the country.

As per the statistics, 150,000 people have contracted coronavirus among them seven thousand died and 140,000 have been treated.
