Jordan inks soft loan agreement with Germany to construct public schools


(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Jordan inked a 50-million-euro (about USD56.26 million) soft loan deal with Germany to aid in creating new public schools all over the country.

According to Jordan's Planning and International Cooperation Ministry statement, the scheme, as part of the government economic priority plan for 2021-2023, intended to advance educational substructure and the elementary education quality.

Nasser Shraideh, Planning and International Cooperation Minister have expressed gratitude for Germany’s support to Jordan, which has funded to various development plans of importance, mostly in water, education, technical as well as vocational training fields.

The minister mentioned that this help shows Germany's understanding of the Jordanian economy's difficulties and its willingness to backup Jordan as a reliable counterpart via its obligation to supplying financial and technical aid.
