Ukraine’s Energy Ministry welcomes collaboration with E5P


(MENAFN) Ukrainian Ministry of Energy says, the second round of collaboration with the Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environment Partnership (E5P) will aid Ukraine in attracting USD155.1 million for power competence schemes.

The Ministry of Energy announces: “The E5P size for Ukraine is EUR 137.5 million which can be used along with loans from international financial institutions to support investments in energy efficiency projects. Part of these funds has already been raised for implementation of the projects.”

As the Deputy Minister of Energy Yulia Pidkomorna mentioned, Ukraine’s ties with the E5P offers future collaboration and defined schemes for investments, specifically the innovation of provincial heating services and the financial support for public properties.

Deputy Minister of Energy noted: “The implementation of such projects will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions, cut the energy intensity of industrial sector, and bring us closer to achieving global climate goals.”
