Al Rayyan Municipality Health Control Section carried out 3,365 inspection tours during November on various food outlets and retailers within the municipality as part of the Municipality's vision 'Always safe food'.
These resulted in issuance 56 violation reports according to law no 8 for 1990 on the regulation of human food control. In addition, six violating shops were shut down, 33 food samples were sent to the central laboratory for examination and three circulars issued to withdraw food products from the market.
Further, the veterinarians supervised the slaughtering of 3,671 heads of livestock at the people's slaughterhouses. The veterinarians also supervised the poultry shops, the fish market, and the fruits and vegetables at Al Sailiya Central Market
