Jordan - 30 virus fatalities, 6,392 cases recorded Tuesday

Amman, Dec 7 (Petra) –– The Ministry of Health announced Tuesday that 30 coronavirus deaths and 6,392 infections were recorded across the Kingdom, raising the death toll from the pandemic to 11,817 and the caseload to 988,159.
The positivity rate of PCR tests for the day reached 10.42 per cent, according to the daily media brief of the ministry.
The report indicated that the number of currently active cases in the Kingdom reached 64,437, with 193 admitted to hospitals and 132 discharged. The total number of confirmed cases now being hospitalized reached 1190 cases, it said.
It said that the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 29 per cent, intensive care beds 49 per cent and respirators 31 per cent.
In the central region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 29 per cent, intensive care beds 43 per cent and respirators 22 per cent, according to the daily figures.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was 10 per cent, intensive care beds 10 per cent and respirators 8 per cent, they showed.
The ministry also said 4,534 Covid patients recovered today, bringing the total number of expected recoveries after the end of the 14-day isolation period to 911,905.
The summary also revealed that the number of those who got the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine climbed to 4,196,889, while the number of those who were double-jabbed stood at 3,793,423.
