Turkish airports welcome 11.3m travelers during Nov.


(MENAFN) Based on Turkey’s air travel authority on Tuesday, the country’s airports accommodated 11.3 million travelers during November of this year.

According to the State Airports Authority General Directorate (DHMI), November's numbers almost increased to the double from the previous year when Covid-19 struck the world.

The authority also mentioned that the numbers were close to pre-covid level of 14.5 million in November two years ago. About 6.3 million travelers took local flights, whereas 5 million took global flights the previous month.

The airports served 127,512 airplanes, involving overflights a month ago, of which 60,978 were on national routes and 39,017 on global routes.
