Ukraine witnesses 5pct rise in steel manufacture


(MENAFN) During the first 11 months of the present year, the steel manufacture of Ukraine increased by 5.0 percent against the same timeframe from 2020, reported Ukrinform in reference to Ukrmetalurgprom.

In the period January-November of 2021, the country made 19.44 million tonnes of pig iron (up 4.6 percent from the same timeframe in the past year), 19.64 million tonnes of steel (up 5.0 percent), and 17.55 million tonnes of rolled metal (up 5.0 percent), as updates were issued from Ukrmetalurgprom show.

Last year Ukraine created 20.42 million tonnes of pig iron (up 1.8 percent from 2019), 20.62 million tonnes of steel (down 1.1 percent), and 18.43 million tonnes of rolled metal (up 1.2 percent), informed Ukrinform, and in reference to Ukrmetalurgprom.
