Qatar - Defence minister holds talks with Turkish counterpart

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah held an official dialogue session in Doha Monday with Turkey's Minister of National Defence Hulusi Akar.

During the session, the relations of common interest between the two countries, especially military, and ways to enhance them were reviewed. Both sides also discussed the latest regional and international developments. On this occasion, HE Dr al-Attiyah hosted a dinner banquet in honour of the Turkish minister and the delegation accompanying him. The session and the dinner were attended by HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad al-Nabit and a number of senior officers in the Qatari Armed Forces.
