Saudi Arabia, Oman to sign agreements worth USD10b on several fields


(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia and Oman inked 13 memoranda of understanding, the agreements supposedly value over USD10 billion and including a number of industries, during the day before Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Crown Prince arrived in Muscat.

On Monday, Omani state TV informed that deals were inked by Omani firms completely-owned by the sultanate’s Investment Authority.

OQ Group, an international energy supplier located in Oman, inked three of the deals, the first of which was with ACWA Power and Air Products in the sectors of petrochemicals, renewable power as well as green hydrogen. The second, concerning to crude storage, was contracted with Saudi Aramco, and the third, including expansion of Oman’s Duqm Petrochemical Complex project, with SABIC.

A different memorandum was inked by Fisheries Development Oman as well as Saudi Arabia’s National Aquaculture Group, or Naqwa, to enhance collaboration in fisheries.
