Turkish major stock index hits new record on Monday


(MENAFN) On Monday, the Turkish major stock index closed the session with wins to reach another record ending of 1,927.39 points, while it reached a fresh record high of one day at 1,928.14 points in the session.

Beginning the day at 1,921.19 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index increased 16.98 points, or 0.89 percent, compared to the last end of 1,910.41 points.

The lowest worth of the index in the day was 1,898.62 points, whereas its everyday high amounted at 1,928.14 points.

The overall market worth of the BIST 100 was about 1.56 trillion Turkish liras (USD114.2 billion) by market end, with an everyday trading capacity of nearly 31.2 billion liras (USD2.26 billion).
