Iran exports from mining sector amounts at USD7b


(MENAFN) Iran exported about USD7 billion of mining commodities during the period from March 21 till October 22 of the present Iranian calendar year, registering a surge of 105 percent on a yearly basis.

According to IRNA, the exports stood at 31 million tons in weight, indicating a nine-percent increase in comparison to the corresponding time frame of the previous year. Moreover, steel chains and correlated goods had the largest stake with 57.3 percent, amounting at USD4.045 billion of the overall exports worth.

Copper exports as well as other minerals occupied the second and third places with USD967.35 million and USD471.8 million parts of the exports, in that order.

Meanwhile, 2.306 million tons of mining goods that value USD1.96 billion were imported in the stated time span, marking a 11 percent and one percent increase regarding value and weight, in that order.
