Jordan - 26 Covid-19 deaths, 5,811 infections recorded Monday

Amman, Dec. 6 (Petra) -- The Ministry of Health said Monday that it recorded 26 coronavirus deaths and 5,811 infections across the Kingdom, bringing the death toll from the pandemic to 11,787 and the caseload to 981,767.
According to the ministry's daily brief, the positivity rate for the day was at 10.72 per cent.
It said that the number of currently active cases reached 62,594 with 147 admitted to hospitals today, adding that 151 cases have been discharged. It said that the total number of confirmed cases that are now hospitalized reached 1,162.
According to the daily report, the occupancy rate of isolation beds in the northern region was 27 per cent, intensive care beds was 53 per cent and ventilators 35 per cent.
The occupancy rate of isolation beds in the central region was at 29 percent, intensive care beds 41 per cent and ventilators 21 per cent, it said.
In the southern region, the occupancy rate of isolation beds was at 10 per cent, intensive care beds 14 per cent and ventilators 11 per cent, it said.
The ministry said that 4,549 Covid-19 patients have recovered, bringing the total number of expected recoveries by the end of the 14-day isolation period to 907,386.
It also said that 54,223 PCR tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of swab tests that had been collected since the beginning of the pandemic to 12,450,089.
Some 4,187,105 received the first COVID-19 jab, while 3,786,039 received the two jabs, the brief added.
