Georgia, US discuss wine exports potential

Georgia and the US agreed to continue communication and cooperation on issues related to the promotion of Georgian wine in the US market, which will contribute to deepening trade and economic relations between the two countries, Trend reports via the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia

Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia Levan Davitashvili met with the representatives of American Silk Road Wines and Emerald Vines Media companies to discuss the issues of export potential and the promotion of Georgian wine in the US market.

Levan Davitashvili thanked the company representatives for their interest in Georgian wine and noted that the Ministry, in active cooperation with the National Wine Agency and Georgian wine producers, was able to increase the export potential, competitiveness and awareness of Georgian wine in international markets.

“Georgian wine is one of the main export products of the country. The National Wine Agency organizes tastings, competitions, international wine conferences, and exhibitions to promote the development of the Georgian wine sector,” the minister said.
