Trump social media company collects USD1B from shareholders


(MENAFN) Former US president Donald Trump’s social media scheme reports it collected USD1 billion from shareholders before a prepared stock market listing.

The Trump Media & Technology Group is putting all of its efforts to start a social media applications named Truth Social at the first quarter of 2022.

It happens as Mr Trump continues to be forbidden from Twitter and Facebook after the violence and riots which took place in the US Capitol in January 2021.

Trump announced: “USD1 billion sends an important message to Big Tech that censorship and political discrimination must end.” He added: “As our balance sheet expands, Trump Media & Technology Group will be in a stronger position to fight back against the tyranny of Big Tech.”

He issues schemes to start Truth Social at an early time in 2021, reporting it would alleviate communication “without discrimination on the basis of political ideology”.
