Previous Austrian president Sebastian Kurz resigns
(MENAFN) Previous Austrian President and ruler of the Conservative People’s Party (OVP) Sebastian Kurz announced that he is leaving government.
Kurz showed appreciation to his supporters in his 10 years’ job, from his term as secretary-general to premier, stating that he achieved his responsibilities with great passion and joy but numerous improvements, particularly charges of dishonesty, corruption and break of trust in the last period, disappointed him to work.
The decision to quit was not easy, he said, and again denied the accusations and reiterated his belief that the statements would be clarified in law court.
Kurz added "As chancellor, you have so many decisions that you have to make every day, that you know early on that you will also make wrong decisions," stating "You're always under observation. You also constantly have the feeling that you're being hunted.”
