Turkey holds 22nd session of contracting groups to Barcelona Convention


(MENAFN) Turkish resort city of Antalya plans to hold the 22nd Conference of Contracting Parties (COP22), an International Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean (Barcelona Convention).

The meeting that is going to occur on December 7-10, is held every two years and establish the principal assembly on the environment and sustainable improvement in the area.

The site was chosen in the COP21 conferences in Naples, Italy on December 2-5, 2019.

Environment ministers, legislatures of important ministries, representatives from 21 nations that have a charge at the Mediterranean Sea, in addition to EU and UN legislatures are going to join the meeting.
