UN, EU makes plan to provide income to 20k people with disabilities in Lebanon


(MENAFN) On Thursday, the UN International Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) stated that the inauguration of a new nationwide disability payment for 20,000 individuals with disabilities in Lebanon, in cooperation with the International Labor Organization (ILO) as well as the European Union.

Based on a UNICEF statement, the new advantage, initiated the day before of International Day of Persons with Disabilities which has been yearly experimented on Dec. 3, is going to give direct salary support for individuals with disabilities living in Lebanon every month.

The UNICEF also added that the move intends to aid Lebanese and non-Lebanese by recognizing them from current databases and future applications all over the nation.
