Turkish foreign minister commends ties with Italy


(MENAFN) On Saturday, Turkey’s foreign minister commended his country’s ties with Italy, stating that the two nations work side by side for local peace and steadiness.

Mevlut Cavusoglu stated the comments in the initiation ceremony of the Italian Honorary Consulate in the southern resort city of Antalya.

Repeating that he encounters and makes phone conversations with his Italian partner Luigi Di Maio often, he stated that the nations have in mind that additionally advance the ties and raise the mutual trade capacity to USD30 billion.

He stated, “I believe the consulate will significantly contribute to greater cooperation in both tourism and bilateral relations.”

Cavusoglu showed gratitude to outbound Italian Envoy Massimo Gainai, who was also present on the event, for his part in improving Turkey-Italy ties.
