Turkey distributes its coffee to 177 nations with revenue amounting for USD65m


(MENAFN) The Turkish exports coffee to 144 nations, involving the US, Belarus, the Netherlands as well as Russia. Moreover, the country’s exports stood at USD65.5 million in the previous five years whereas yearly coffee exports registered a twofold increase during this year when compared to 2016.

Turkey's coffee exports equaled USD9.2 million in 2016, USD10.7 million in 2017, USD12.1 million in 2018, USD13.3 million in 2019 and lastly USD20.2 million in 2020. Moreover, coffee exports amounted at USD18.7 million during the period of first 10 months of this year.

The key five locations for the exports were Saudi Arabia, the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, the Netherlands, US as well as Iraq from 2016 - 2019. The US substituted Russia last year.

Coffee imports were USD891.25 million from 2016 - 2020, USD130.5 million in 2016, USD191.8 million in 2017, USD186.6 million in 2018, USD194.7 million in 2019 and USD187.6 million last year.
