Turkish defense ruler criticizes Assad government’s report
(MENAFN) Turkish defense minister responded to the declaration of the seeming People's Assembly of the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria that was aimed at the regional safety of Turkey.
Hulusi Akar declared “We hear some reckless and meaningless statements about our province of Hatay,” noting that these reports are not important.
His comments were said in army reviews along with top leaders of navy, ground and air militaries in the southern Hatay area.
He added "We do not have our eyes on anybody's land," stating that one could learn from what occurred to people who tried to take Turkish lands.
In accordance to the Foreign Ministry “We strongly reject the impertinent and unlawful statement targeting the territorial integrity of our country, which has been made by the regime’s so-called People's Assembly which is devoid of democratic legitimacy and under no circumstances represents the Syrian people.”
