(MENAFN) On Thursday, IRNA stated that head of Iranian Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) has declared that his nation has assigned a special fund of USD50 million to aid the Iranian export firms operating in the Syrian market.

Alireza Peyman Pak reported to the national TV, “Iran and Syria have good political relations and we must use this opportunity and encourage the private sector and our businessmen to enter the Syrian market and the government must do its best in this regard.”

Mentioning his latest trip to Syria by a commission supervised by Industry, Mining and Trade Minister Reza Fatemi Amin, he stated: “During a visit to Damascus, we were mainly looking for ways to pave the way for the private sector to expand trade with this country.”

The official mentioned that the part of the TPO plan is to include creating offices for supporting barter trade with not only Syria but also all other nearby nations.
