(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) Riyadh, Dec 2, 2021, SPA -- Under the patronage of Prince Mohammed bin Abdurrahman bin Abdulaziz, acting governor of Riyadh region, the National Center for Social Responsibility will organize on Dec 6-7, 2021, the 1st National Forum for Islamic Banking, entitled“The Kingdom's Leadership in Islamic Banking”, coinciding with the World Banking Day Which falls on Dec 4, 2021 at the headquarters of the SPA Conference Center in Riyadh.
The Forum will be organized in partnership with the Committee on Banking Information and Awareness in Saudi Banks.
Advisor at the Royal Court, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Suleiman Al-Manea; Advisor at the Royal Court, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Mutlaq; Advisor at the Royal Court, member of the Council of Senior Scholars, Dr. Saad bin Nasser Al-Shathri; a number of Eminence, economists, academics, senior bankers, interested parties and a number of relevant authorities, such as the Financial Academy and the Islamic Development Bank.
The forum sheds light on the Kingdom's leadership in Islamic banking at the Arab and global levels in light of its Vision 2030, and the possibilities that make the Kingdom the leader of the Islamic world at all levels and its global progress in the field of Islamic banking services.
The forum comes in light of the rapid growth of the Islamic financial industry since its inception at the global level, as the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia witnessed significant quantitative and qualitative developments in Islamic finance, which indicates its leading position in this field, as the assets of local Islamic banking services amounted to more than USD$565 billion by the first quarter of 2021, in addition to achieving the goals of Vision 2030 in this field.
It is worth mentioning that the forum comes within the efforts of the National Center for Social Responsibility in providing services aimed at spreading the culture of social responsibility and making it a tangible reality by achieving a partnership between the public and private sectors.
