Ukraine - Banks issued UAH 1B of loans under Affordable Mortgage program


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) Some 1,157 loan agreements have been already signed for a total sum of UAH 1.005 billion under the government program“Affordable Mortgage at 7%”, Ukrinform reports with reference to the Finance Ministry's press service.

“As of December 2 of the current year, the authorized banks signed 1,157 loan agreements worth UAH 1.005 billion under the government program 'Affordable Mortgage at 7%', both on the primary (24.77%) and secondary (75.23%) markets,” reads the report.

In general, banks have received 1,611 loan applications worth UAH 1,416 million (24.91% on the primary market and 75.09% on the secondary market).

Twenty-four regions and the city of Kyiv have been involved in this program. Last week most active borrowers were registered in the city of Kyiv (32.93%), Kyiv region (31.63%), Lviv region (6.31%), Kharkiv region (6.09%), and Volyn region (3.82%).

As reported by Ukrinform, the government program“Affordable Mortgage at 7%” was launched at the initiative of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 1, 2021.
